NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (MPG) - Local eatery Elena's Kitchen & Catering will host a visit from America’s Best Restaurants (ABR), a national media and marketing company, for an on-site visit as part of the ABR Roadshow. 

America’s Best Restaurants travels the country spotlighting independent, locally owned restaurants that make a positive impact on their communities. During the visit, the ABR Roadshow team will highlight Elena's Kitchen & Catering on-camera, featuring an extensive interview with owners Leonid and Elena Melnychuk about the restaurant's special place in the community. 

Elena's Kitchen & Catering has a rich history rooted in hospitality and community service. Born in Uzbekistan, Elena Melnychuk's culinary journey began at the tender age of six, sparked by a playful experiment with dough. By her teenage years, she was already known for her culinary skills, organizing meals for church functions and community events.

The turning point for the business came when a family member requested catering for a wedding, leading to a surge in catering inquiries that prompted her to build a dedicated team. With her husband Leonid's support, they transitioned from a small catering company to a thriving culinary destination, even after facing the devastating loss of their facility to a fire in 2022. Through resilience and community support, they now operate from a new location in North Highlands. 

Elena's Kitchen & Catering is not just about food; it’s about giving back. The restaurant has actively supported the Life Change substance abuse rehabilitation center through donations and volunteer efforts, illustrating their commitment to community welfare.

America’s Best Restaurants will be on-site at Elena's Kitchen & Catering on August 25, 2026. The public and press are welcome to attend. 

The completed episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date. The premiere date will be announced on the restaurant’s Facebook page and featured on America’s Best Restaurants' website and YouTube channel.
