RIO LINDA, CA (MPG) – Looking for a way to support friendly felines in your community? Local 501 nonprofit, Friends of Felines Rescue, is hosting a fun and empowering upcoming community fundraiser next month.

Join Friends of Felines for a two-hour women’s self-defense seminar. This seminar is designed to give you practical self-defense skills and confidence to protect yourself. Every dollar raised for this fundraiser goes directly toward veterinary care, spay and neuter services, food and supplies for the animals in their care.

Friends of Felines is a nonprofit dedicated to reducing cat population, rescuing homeless cats and kittens and helping families throughout our community. They currently have spent over $70,000 in the past seven months on this compassionate mission.

The self-defense seminar will be instructed by Down Range Logistics on 6801 Curved Bridge Road, Suite C in Rio Linda from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday Aug. 11.
