RIO LINDA/ELVERTA, CA (MPG) – The Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District has announced its Lacrosse Skills Camp in partnership with the National Academy of Athletics.
The non-contact camp is an opportunity for beginners and intermediate players to learn skills such as scooping, passing, catching and shooting. Players will be grouped by age.
According to its website, the National Academy of Athletics offers youth sports programs, camps, clinics, after-school enrichment and recreation services for children ages 3–14.
Curriculums are designed to “help children build confidence, athletic fundamentals, teamwork, communication skills, and emotional resilience.”
Camp will take place on Tuesdays from Aug. 4-25. Campers ages 4-7 will play from 5 to 6 p.m. Campers ages 7-14 will play from 6 to 7 p.m. at Westside Park, 6601 W Second St., Rio Linda.
Registration for the camp is $80; however, Twin Rivers Unified School District students may qualify to have their registration fees fully covered by the district. Visit: www.rleparks.com.
