RIO LINDA, CA (MPG) - Mark your calendars for a weekend of late-summer celebration as the 13th Annual Rio Linda Elverta Country Faire returns on Saturday, Sept.19 and Sunday, Sept. 20. Organized by the Rio Linda Country Faire Committee, this beloved tradition brings neighbors together to showcase the talent, creativity and agricultural roots of the community for the education and enjoyment of the public.

This year, the event moves to an exciting location at The Dry Creek Ranch House, situated at 6852 Dry Creek Road in Rio Linda, on the historical society grounds. To accommodate even more local talent and offer enhanced experience for visitors, the organizers are introducing a new, larger tented exhibit space for the Community Showcase.

The Community Showcase is open to all residents of Sacramento, Placer, Yuba and Sutter counties. Local creators are invited to enter their artwork, photography, baking, crafts and garden produce. Entry forms and handbooks are available online, with a hard deadline to submit entries by mail or email on Sept. 7. Accepted showcase entries must be dropped off at the Dry Creek Ranch House tent on Sept. 17, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., or Sept. 18, between 8 a.m. and noon. Exhibitors can pick up their entries on Saturday afternoon between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.

In addition to the exhibit space, the fairgrounds will feature a wide selection of local artisans and food trucks. Vendors wishing to participate must submit their applications by Sept. 12. Space rates are set at $30 for informational booths, $50 for craft vendors and $120 for food trucks.

Beyond the showcase, attendees can expect more than 130 vendor booths featuring handmade crafts, jewelry, clothing, woodwork and other locally made goods, along with food trucks and live entertainment throughout the weekend. Families can enjoy a free Fun Zone with jump houses, face painting, games, a toddler area and a rock climbing wall. Other attractions include farm animals, carnival games, a horseshoe tournament, raffles, a watermelon-eating contest and guided tours of the historic Ranch House on Saturday. A crowd-favorite zucchini race will also return on Saturday.

Businesses and organizations interested in supporting the fair can also sponsor activities and attractions. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $350 and include promotional recognition throughout the event.
