RIO LINDA, CA (MPG) - The sounds of laughter, splashing water and upbeat music will officially welcome summer to Rio Linda as the annual RLE Pool Bash returns to celebrate opening day at the local high school pool.

Hosted jointly by the Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District and the Lions Club of Rio Linda, the community gathering will take place on Friday, June 12. The evening event runs from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Rio Linda High School Pool, offering families a vibrant, budget-friendly way to dive into another great outdoor season.

The event is designed to be accessible to everyone in the neighborhood, combining affordable recreational activities with classic community fellowship. Entry to the pool is $4 per person, granting full access to an evening of open swim and activities.

A major highlight of this year’s bash is a generous community partnership with the Lions Club of Rio Linda. The service organization is sponsoring the gathering by providing a free hot dog meal to all attendees, ensuring families can enjoy dinner by the water without any extra expense.

In addition to the open swim sessions, the four-hour event will feature a curated selection of music to maintain a festive, high-energy atmosphere along the pool deck. District staff and certified lifeguards will be on hand to ensure a safe, secure environment for swimmers of all ages and skill levels.
