Rio Linda Local Makes Theater Debut in ‘The Prince of Egypt’

RIO LINDA, CA (MPG) - “The Prince of Egypt” is coming to the stage this May, and among the talented cast members is a familiar face to the Rio Linda community — Kambria Silva, the 2024 Junior Mayor, making her musical theater debut as Miriam.

Known throughout the community for her leadership, kindness and her mad barista skills, Silva is stepping into a new spotlight through this powerful production. Performing in the Simcha Cast, she will portray Miriam, the courageous and compassionate sister of Moses in the beloved musical adaptation of “The Prince of Egypt.”

Presented at Royal Stage Theater in Citrus Heights, the production promises sweeping music, dramatic storytelling, and an unforgettable theatrical experience. The show opened on May 21 at Royal Stage Theater, with additional performances on May 22, 23 and 24. The production will then continue at Bridgeway Church on Industrial Avenue in Roseville for performances on May 30 and 31.

Adding to the local pride surrounding the production, the show is directed by fellow Rio Linda resident Amber Horigan, highlighting the strong connection between the production and the Rio Linda community. The collaboration showcases the creativity and talent emerging from the area, both on stage and behind the scenes.

The Prince of Egypt has captivated audiences worldwide with its themes of faith, courage, freedom and family. Kambria’s portrayal of Miriam is expected to bring warmth and heart to the stage as she joins a cast dedicated to delivering a meaningful and inspiring performance.

Friends, family and community members are encouraged to come out and support Silva during her theatrical debut and celebrate another example of young leadership and talent emerging from the Rio Linda community.
