RIO LINDA, CA (MPG) - Registration is now open for the Rio Linda Jr. Knights Football and Cheer Camp. The camp runs June 16-18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Rio Linda High School, 6309 Dry Creek Rd, Rio Linda. Athletes between the ages of 5 and 14 with a completed physical are eligible to participate. Registration is $60.

According to a flyer from the organization, the three-day camp encourages teamwork, discipline, confidence and fun along with the fundamentals of football and cheer. Athletes are advised to wear comfortable athletic attire such as a t-shirt and shorts. No gear is required.

The organization will offer in-person sign-ups every Wednesday in April and May from t to 7 p.m. at Meg’s Creamery, 924 Oak Lane, Rio Linda. Interested participants can also sign up at riolindajrknights.com or by calling 916-505-6260.

The Rio Linda Jr. Knights will begin their 2026 season on July 13. For the 2026 season, the Jr. Knights have moved to the Golden Empire League (GEL). They will face the Bella Vista Jr Mustangs, Bradshaw Christian Jr Pride, Colfax Jr Falcons, El Dorado Jr Cougars, Golden Sierra Jr Grizzlies and Oakmont Jr Vikings this season.

Registration for the 2026 Football Season is $575 per athlete, and cheer registration is $675. Payment plans are available if cost is an issue. All teams are capped at 35 athletes.
