RIO LINDA, CA (MPG) - The Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District is offering two upcoming community programs this spring, including a youth soccer skills session and a supervised evening event for children.

A four-week Soccer Skills program will be held in April for children ages 4 to 14. Designed for beginners, the program focuses on building fundamental skills, confidence and physical activity in a group setting. Sessions are scheduled from 5 to 6 p.m. for ages 4 to 7 and from 6 to 7 p.m. for ages 8 to 14. Families may choose to attend either Monday or Wednesday sessions. Registration is available online at www.rleparks.com, and space is limited.

In addition, the district will host a “Kids Night Out” event from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at the Rio Linda Elverta Community Center. The event is open to children ages 5 and older and will include crafts, games, a movie and pizza. The cost is $5 per child, and participants must be potty trained.

Registration for both programs is required and can be completed through the district’s website at www.rleparks.com. Officials said space is limited for each event.
