RIO LINDA, CA (MPG) - Spice lovers and community supporters alike are invited to bring their appetites to the upcoming Rio Linda Lions Club Chili Cook-Off, set for Saturday, March 15 at 1 p.m. at 107 Sutter St. in Roseville.
The event will feature a variety of homemade chili recipes prepared by local participants competing for bragging rights and community recognition. Entry is $20, with all proceeds supporting the important work of the Northern California Lions Sight Association.
The association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Lions Clubs in District 4-C5, focuses on meeting the vision-related needs of residents throughout Northern California. Its programs help provide medical services, educational resources and support for individuals facing vision challenges. The organization also works to identify community eye health needs and improve access to care for those who might otherwise go without.
By hosting the cook-off, the Rio Linda Lions Club aims to bring the community together for a fun afternoon while raising funds to support eye health services and vision care initiatives across the region.
Residents are encouraged to come out, sample different chili creations and support a cause dedicated to protecting and improving sight for local families.
