RIO LINDA, CA (MPG) – Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District’s Lifeguard Certification Class is coming up from Feb. 27 to March 1.

This American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course will provide entry-level and recertifying lifeguard participants with the skills needed to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel arrive.

With completion of the course, participants will earn a certification that allows you to apply to work for Rio Linda Elverta Parks this summer.

The course will take place at Rio Linda High School Pool, 6309 Dry Creek Road. Participants must be 15 by class start date of Feb. 27.

Course fees are $200 for first-time course participants and $80 for those recertifying.

Class times are set for 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28 and Sunday, March 1. Participants must attend all class dates.
