MCCLELLAN, CA (MPG) - The Twin Rivers Unified School District honored four district students who earned their high school diploma and an associate degree through dual enrollment class of 2025 was as graduation ceremonies began on May 27.
Three high school seniors from Rio Linda High School and one from Grant Union High School graduated with their high school diplomas and their respective associate degrees in arts, social science or general studies degrees from American River College.
This accomplishment is the direct result of the district's strong dual enrollment partnership with American River College, which offers students the unique opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school.
The Dual Enrollment pays for all student fees, including tuition and textbooks, according to the Twin Rivers Unified School District. Students take classes online during a designated class period at their high school.
Students need to be eligible for the program and they can find out if they are by checking with their counselor. A Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form is not required to enroll in the program.
Students have access to both Twin Rivers Unified and American River College resources while enrolled in the program.
Since 2023, nine Twin Rivers Unified students have reached this milestone, underscoring the program’s impact.
