Communities of Meadowview and North Highlands Invited to Meet SMUD

NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (MPG) - On Sept. 24 and 26, SMUD will host two “Meet SMUD” events at the Florin Square Community Development Corporation and the North Highlands Recreation & Park District.
Attendees of the Meet SMUD events will learn about SMUD’s Residential Assistance programs and energy-saving opportunities, including the Energy Assistance Program Rate (EAPR), Medical Equipment Discount and Energy Saver Bundles. Resource tables will provide information on careers in clean energy and zero carbon sectors, small business opportunities through SMUD’s SEED program and ways to participate in the CleanPowerCity® movement.
The first Meet SMUD event will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at Florin Square Community Development Corporation, 2251 Florin Rd in Meadowview. The SMUD representatives will feature SMUD Director Dave Tamayo and other SMUD staff.
The second Meet SMUD event takes place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at North Highlands Recreation & Park District, 6040 Watt Ave., North Highlands. Guests will meet SMUD Director Heidi Sanborn and other SMUD staff.

Attendees can enjoy an induction cooking demonstration by a local chef, explore community support services and sign up for SMUD programs onsite. The first 100 attendees will receive food and swag bags.
