MCCLELLAN, CA (MPG) - Stacey E. Bastian was sworn in as a Twin Rivers Unified school board member during a ceremony before the start of the March 22 virtual school board meeting.
Bastian, a provisional appointee, will represent Area 4 (Rio Linda/Elverta). The term expires in June 2022. She fills the seat held by the late Bob Bastian, her father, who passed away Jan. 12.
Stacey Bastian was one of three candidates interviewed by the Board of Trustees at a special virtual school board meeting on March 16. At that time the Board of Trustees approved the provisional appointment of Bastian for the open seat.
Trustee Bastian is a graduate of Rio Linda High School, an active community volunteer, and a former vice chairperson of the Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Parks District Board of Directors.
